Clay Ornaments

In a large saucepan, mix
1 1 lb box of baking soda (2 cups)
1 cup corn starch
1 1/4 cups of COLD water

Mix well

Over med heat, stirring constantly, cook until mixture resembles moist mashed potatoes...10 to 15 mins...do NOT over cook, ornaments will crack!

Place it in a pie pan, cover with a moist towel, let cool. PAT until smooth

place clay between layers of waxed paper, roll with rolling pin to 1/4" thick

cut with cookie cutters

use a straw to put holes in for hanging

place on cookie sheets...

heat oven to 350, put in sheets, turn off over leave over night

ornaments can be painted, glitter glued on ect :)
