Eve's Pudding

If you want a good pudding , mind what you are taught
take eggs 6 in number when bought for a groat
Take fruit with which Eve her husband did cozen,
well pared and well chopped, at least half a dozen
6 ozs of bread, let Moll eat the crusts,
and crumble what's left, as fine as the dust
6 ozs of currants, from the stems u must sort
lest u break all your teeth, and spoil all the sport,
6 oz of sugar won't make it too sweet
some salt and some nutmeg will make it complete
3 hours let it boil without all the flutter
but adam won't like it without wine and some butter
