Stuffed Cabbage

2 c water
1 c rice (cook it)
2 lbs. hamburger (don't cook)
1 lg Bermuda onion
1 egg
salt and pepper to taste


Dice onion and fry in butter. Mix hamburger, rice, onion, and egg.

Core cabbage. Boil in big pot with 1 T vinegar. Turn after 15 min. Run cold water on it and let it drip dry.

Spoon about 2 T hamburger mixture into each leaf. Put face down in pan.

Add:
stick butter
2 cans tomato soup diluted with a little water.
2 cans crushed tomatoes

Cook at 375 till bubbling; about 1/2 hour. Reduce to 300; cook 1 1/2 hours
