Basque Vegetable Soup

4 large carrots - sliced
6 potatoes - peeled and cubed
4 large cloves garlic - chopped
1 pkg dry chicken noodle soup
1 large can tomatoe sauce
4 large celery ribs - sliced
1 large onion - chopped
1 head of cabbage - chopped
4 chicken bullion cubes
3 quarts water
salt and pepper to taste

Saute onions and garlic. Bring water to a boil and add all the ingredients. Simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Add more water if needed.
