French Loaf

4 roma tomatoes
fresh basil leaf
olive oil
fresh shredded romano cheese
salt and pepper

Slice the French loaf into one inch round pieces, slicing from width. lightly brush them with olive oil. Prep tomatoes by gutting them, and cutting into small 1/8th inch squares. Pull the basil leafs and layer them on top of each other. With scissors, cut the leafs into small strips. Mix a quarter cup olive oil with the basil and tomatoes and salt and pepper to taste. place a spoon full of the mixture onto each of the loaf pieces, top with a pinch of romano cheese and bake at 400 degrees until the cheese browns. Serve at room temperature for pre-dinner treats
