Bad Girls Guidelines 1. The application process for membership in BadGirls.org is open to all women, 18 yrs and older. 2 You will not be censored, but we expect you to treat one another with respect. Keep the feelings of others foremost on your mind. Refrain from flames, name calling, and deliberately hurtful posts. 3. Open and honest debate is welcome. This is so often misunderstood. This does not mean fight. This does not mean name calling. This means presenting your side, your view, or your rationale for taking the stand that you choose. It also means being able to understand that we are not clones. We all have different views based on our own upbringing, nationalities, cultures and creeds. It is our hope that all will be able to say, "I disagree with your stance, but we can agree to disagree," or "In my culture, that is not acceptable but I understand in yours it is ok," or even, "My religious background taught me that was wrong, though I understand it is not viewed that way within other forms of worship." Be civil, be kind, agree to agree, or agree to disagree, but at all times, treat others with respect. 4. NO WHINING! Vent, yes! Whine, no!

5. No solicitation for money or stuff of any kind. You may ask for advice, prayers, thoughts, or homepage visits, and you may promote causes, but do not ask for money or material things for personal gain. 6. Miss Manners has left the building. While we ask that you keep other's feelings in mind, you may use language freely here. This means strong language such as curse words, but not name calling. 7. All posts must have a name. Use only one name or nick. Include your e-mail address often! Someone may want to discuss something with you privately. 8. We urge all members to speak up! Do not let things simmer! If there is something on your mind, please say so. We do not employ an internet version of "thought police" or "post police" to come take care of things. It's up to you. Speak up! We have a "bitching post" and suggestion committee. Go to them if need be. Above all, SPEAK UP. "I loved it when....", "My feelings were hurt when..." How can we ever hope to improve the world if we cannot even speak out in our own? 9. VOTE! This organization is run on plain old democratic principals. Let your voice be heard. Let your vote be counted. 10. When in doubt, apply the golden rule. |
