Review: I've always been fascinated by the life and work of Emily Dickinson, Belle of Amherst. This anthology contains the unedited versions of her poems (1,775 of them). If you haven't ever read Dickenson, prepare to be startled, amused and touched. She's one of my favorites, and her style is like no other. The wildest thing about her is that she lived, hermetlike, her poems a secret...and it was only after her death that her neatly bundled packages of poetry were found. I find her quite addicting!

A literary and drama critic, poet, and author of several short stories, her primetime was New York in the 20s and 30s. Insightful and biting, she will make you laugh. This volume contains many of her poems, some short stories, and her famous reviews.

Review: Yeats is my favorite poet, hands down. His early works were of Celtic myth, lush and tragic. Later, inevitably caught up in the politics and war in Ireland, his work grew darker. My most cherished poem is, "When you are Old", written in 1893. This collection includes every poem he approved for publication during his life. My copy (the edition prior to this one) is quite tattered and lives on the table by my bed.
